Balfour Beatty’s Gas & Water business has donated surplus, non-reusable, plastic water piping to Courtlands School in Plymouth following completion of one of its projects for South West Water as part of the H5O Delivery Alliance.
The piping will be incorporated into the school’s play area by a team of teachers, providing an innovative source of fun for the primary school children.
Izzy Cramp, Learning Outside the Classroom Teacher at Courtlands School, commented: “We are delighted to receive the donation that will enhance the play space at Courtlands. We hope that this new addition will inspire and encourage imaginative play, and positive social interaction between the young children. We will continue to think creatively about the natural spaces in school too encourage healthy opportunities for play and learning in the natural environment”.
Ken Nicholl, Balfour Beatty’s Gas and Water H5O Contract Director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Courtlands School to provide the children with enhancements for their play area to explore, climb and crawl through. We are committed to recycling surplus materials wherever possible and our relationship with Courtlands School has provided us with an ideal and unique opportunity to do so.”
